Cambridge Office for Tourism Website

Project Objective

Cambridge Office for Tourism (CoT) represents Cambridge businesses and drives tourism throughout the community. After a branding update, they needed a contemporary website to reflect their presence in Cambridge. This project required both a visually attractive website as well as a portal to view and browse local businesses. Additionally, a design system was created to help CoT create cohesive new landing and business pages.

CoT’s design system accounts for the multitude of color palettes that signify different sections of the website, and includes a type scale and styles, buttons and links, and other complex interactive elements.

Mega Menu

A custom mega menu was designed for CoT that corresponds to site categories by color. It features primary navigation links, as well as a featured tile to highlight businesses or sections of the website.

Location Map

A full map module was created to let users browse local businesses, hotels, and restaurants based on neighborhood. This allows CoT to partner with businesses to highlight them on the CoT website.
