The Wildlife Society Branding

Project Objective

The Wildlife Society is an organization that’s been stewarding wildlife spaces and connecting professionals and future professionals for more than 80 years. With the growth of the organization, they required a contemporary logo and brand guidelines to modernize their visual identity.

Original Logo

The Wildlife Society’s original logo was a collection of Egyptian hieroglyphics, some of the earliest historical depictions of wildlife. It was important to include some representation of wildlife in the new branding, so the previous logo was a source of inspiration.

Concepting

While concepting, a variety of directions and visual elements were pursued - including realistic wildlife depictions, scientific elements, other historical representations of wildlife, and modernized elements of the original logo.

Final Logo

The direction that resonated most with the client was a modern interpretation of elements within their previous logo. The owl hieroglyphic was highlighted, representing the wisdom and historic knowledge of The Wildlife Society.
